Featuring plug and play functionality, each unit is equipped with a low voltage heater to ensure optimal temperature and moisture levels.
*Inclusively, Sproutlocker can also be used to assist in rapid drying and dehydration of harvest flower.

What is Shou Sugi Ban & Yakisugi?
In recent years, there has been a resurgence of interest in the ancient Japanese burnt wood technique known as Shou Sugi Ban, also referred to as charred or burnt wood.
Originally called Yakisugi in Japan, this handcrafted specialty finish involves charring cedar, pine and select wood species as a traditional method of wood preservation, enhancing durability significantly while also striking in appearance.
Primarily utilized for cladding, architects and designers globally are now incorporating charred timber into their projects, expanding beyond traditional usage to include fine cabinetry and furnishings.
Handcrafted, with fire, often in layers and varying degrees of burnt bringing out the character of the wood grains and features which are handfinished with organic oils leaving a smooth lusterous finish. Skilled craftsmen are adeptly applying this remarkable finish to create striking contrasts and exceptionally durable surfaces.
